3 Days Akagera National Park Safari – one of the great national parks in Rwanda famously known for fantastic wildlife viewing living in its natural savannah forest , while in the park, you will have an opportunity to spot several animal species such as giraffes, buffaloes, topis, zebras, elephants, and many more . There is also a boat cruise on Lake Ihema that will offer you yet another chance to spot several water animals and the great views of Tanzania.

Day by Day Itinerary for 3 days Akagera national park safari
Day 1: Travel to Akagera National Park
Upon arrival, you will be picked up by one of our safari guides of the day who will give a briefing on your 3 days Akagera National park safari. Thereafter you will embark on your journey to the park and the drive time lasts for about 2 hours, you will proceed to the park and later have an optional game drive. Lunch, Dinner and accommodation at your preferred lodge.
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat on Lake Ihema
You will wake up early by 6:00am and have your breakfast at 6:30 am thereafter, you will proceed to the park for an early morning game drive which is the best time to catch the early morning rises as the retire form the previous day hunt. The drive takes you through the Northern sector of the park where you will have the great wildlife viewing where you will spot animals like the elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks and topis, among others as you drive towards the Mutumba hill over looking the Northern sector of the park, which has the highest concentration of wildlife. On the savannah grassland, you will also view variety of animal species such as the antelope’s family including; cape eland, roan antelopes, oribis, common duiker, impala among others. Your will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation in preparation for the afternoon boat on lake Ihema.
Day 3: Travel Back to Kigali
Early morning breakfast by 6:30 am thereafter you will check out of the lodge and proceed for another exciting morning game drive by 7:00am where you will have a chance to spot more animals that you could have missed from the previous game drive, these will then polish up as you explore the depth of the park. after the game drive, you will proceed to Kigali airport or to your preferred drop off point marking the end of your 3 days Akagera national park safari.
