Agandi Eco lodge, Ruhija Bwindi
Agandi Eco lodge is one of the best accommodations close to Bwindi impenetrable national park. it is located in Ruhija, just a few minutes walk from the Uganda Wildlife Authority offices of the park which is also the gorilla trekking briefing and starting point. The lodge is situated on a hill that offers breathtaking views of the tropical Bwindi forest.
Just like its name, the lodge is eco friendly; built using local materials, thatched roofs and African architecture. It consists of African style huts, Volcanic cottages and Tree nests. They are self contained with bathrooms and toilets. The nest trees are raised above the ground to enable guests get stunning views around the area.
The lodge also has a camping area for those who wish to know how it feels like to have a night under the sky in Africa. They have 2 public toilets and 2 public showers. Campfires are lit in the evening to allow guests have a lovely moment of sharing experiences, stories, music, food and drinks.
Agandi eco lodge serves local meals at the restaurant and the food can be served from the dining area or out door. The lodge has friendly and well trained and experienced staffs whose work with the guests moves on smoothly. Agandi Eco lodge is the home of comfort in the misty forest.
