The Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge Uganda
The Bwindi Volcanoes lodge- Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge provides an exquisite setting overlooking the wonderfully primeval Bwindi Forest and a truly majestic opportunity to explore Uganda’s magnificent mountain gorillas. This lodge has only eight glass-fronted wooden and stone bands facing the dense wooded canopy. The ensuite rooms are eco-sensitive and reflect local building style. Guests can enjoy clean bathrooms, a double toilet, hot and cold running water showers and a small balcony from which they can view the flourishing Bwindi forest, and some animals that frequently visit the park the commonly are the primates such as the mountain gorillas, monkeys such as the white and black colobus monkeys and other forest animals.
The lodge also offers other services like comfortable bar and dinning serving delicious dishes and evening cocktails. You can also relax around the camp fire set at the lodge as you share some of the fascinating gorilla trekking experience. There other activities offered to the visitors at the lodge including, Nature walks, cultural visits to the Batwa and the pygmy communities, bird watching, mountain hiking among others.
How to get there
There are domesticated chattered flights from Entebbe international airport to Kihihi airstrip in Bwindi impenetrable forest, then you will be picked up and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest.
You can also take road transport from Kampala or Entebbe which is full days drive and takes about 8-9 hours to reach the park.
You can also access lodge from queen Elizabeth national park which takes about 2-3 hours’ drive to reach the lodge. Also, from Lake Mburo national park, lasting for about 6-7 hours drive to Bwindi volcanoes lodge.
Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge
This is a real home away from home in the far southwestern part of Uganda. Bwindi lodge is an eco-friendly accommodation facility located just outside Bwindi Impenetrable national park which harbors special kinds of creatures that have the closest relationship with man, the mountain gorillas.
Bwindi lodge provides fine luxury accommodation facilities. The lodge is located in Buhoma sector in the northern [part of the park. the location of the lodge is the best for tourists who want to enjoy the tranquility of the wilderness. It has a main house and 8 sleeping bandas scattered on a forested hill. The buildings were built with volcanic rocks, have thatched roofs and wooden floors.
Guests enjoy chilling in the main house which comprises of the lounge, bar and small library. It has a wide verandah where you can relax in the afternoon or evening after trekking. The dinning is also in the main house and it is spacious and comfortable. They serve delicious meals; both local and international cuisines. The bar is always well stocked with different kinds of drinks.
The rooms are spacious and well furnished with comfortable canvas camping chairs and loungers. They have wide glass windows which offer you clear views of the beautiful outside environment. The rooms powered by solar and they do not have running water but it is provided by staffs from the lodge.

By road
From Kampala to Buhoma, it takes about 10 hours. From Kigali to Buhoma, it takes about 7 hours.
By air
Flying from Entebbe international airport or Kajjansi to Kihihi airstrip takes about one and a half hours and one and a half hours drive to drive to Buhoma
