Gorilla habituation experience is a process by Gorillas are made to get used to the sight of humans before they are free and opened for Gorillas trekking the activity involves spending more time with the Gorillas compared to the normal Gorillas trekking which is only given one hour to spend with the Gorillas. The time begins from when you have an encounter with the Gorillas in their natural habitat, but the normal exercise can last for 30 min to 7 hours depending on the current location of the particular Gorillas family you will be trekking on that day of Gorillas trekking.

This safari experience is worth the money paid for the activity, for any traveller taking part in Gorilla habituation process, will be required to have a Gorilla habituation permit which costs $1500 per person taking part in the habituation process. Its an incredible experience as you get to spend more time with the mountain Gorillas. The minimum age required for Gorilla habituation is 15 years and above any one below the age is not allowed to trek Gorillas or participate in Gorilla habituation experience. How to reach the park

There several ways of reaching to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, the park can be accessed by road or by air transport. By road, you take on private vehicle or through the registered tour operators that will organise transport for to and from the park after the Gorilla habituation safari in Bwindi impenetrable forest at Rushaga sector. The journey begins from Kampala or Entebbe airport on arrival and transferring to Bwindi national park, the drive time covered is a bout 8-9 hours depending on the enroute stop overs, the drive is quite long, but it’s worth it as you will spot some of the tourist attractions along the country side.  You can also take domesticated chartered flights operating flights on daily basis from Entebbe international airport to Kisoro or kihihi airstrip
