Gorilla Heights Lodge is a new accommodation in Bwindi impenetrable national park. It has set the bar at a higher level for luxury. Gorilla Heights Lodge is situated at the highest point of Nkuringo hill in Nkuringo area of Bwindi. It overlooks the entire surrounding including Bwindi forest, the numerous rolling hills in Kisoro and the Virunga volcanoes at a distance. Besides the classic accommodation facilities offered to guests at the lodge, this is the ultimate location for the most spectacular views of this region.
The lodge has 15 cottages on the hill. There are 9 standard cottages, 5 deluxe cottages and one family cottage each with private facilities of bathrooms, toilets, large balconies overlooking the lovely areas of Bwindi. The rooms have free standing bathtubs where guests relax and have the body and mind rejuvenated after the tiring day time activities of gorilla trekking, Batwa experience and others.
The rooms are spacious consisting of large comfortable beds, chairs and tables and wide glass doors that allow in enough light. Guests who stay in family and deluxe cottages can choose to prepare their own meals from the private in-built kitchens and dine from their private dining area in the room.
Gorilla Heights Lodge has a heated swimming pool for guests to warm their bodies here since the place often experiences low temperatures. It also has a spa with sauna and steam bath to keep guests’ bodies rejuvenated while on your Uganda gorilla safari.
The lodge has spacious and comfortable restaurants where guests enjoy delicious continental and African meals and freshly squeezed juice. The bar has a variety of soft and hard drinks including the best brands of wines and whisky.
Guests keep updated of what is taking place in the world via DSTV in their rooms and later on will be entertained by local dancing groups in the evening.

Getting there
Gorilla Heights Lodge is located in Kisoro district and can be reached by road or air. It takes about 10 hours to reach there by road from Kampala or Entebbe and about 7 hours from Kigali. By air, Aerolink operates daily from different areas such as Entebbe, Kajjansi and Queen Elizabeth to Kisoro airstrip. From Entebbe international airport or Kajjansi airstrip to Kisoro, it takes about one and a half hours to arrive at Kisoro airstrip and about 40 minutes drive to the lodge.
