Lake Kitandara Bwindi camp started operations in 1994. It is one of the accommodation facilities close to Bwindi impenetrable national park. It is a mid range camp providing accommodation facilities from 20 well equipped tents.
Lake Kitandara lodge is situated in an area that offers beautiful views of Bwindi forest. The environment around the lodge has been maintained in its natural form and it attracts a lot of birds in the area. Guests that love birds will therefore not be bored at all when relaxing at the lodge.
The staffs of the lodge are well trained, friendly and serve with the best customer care. They strive to make the guests’ safari a memorable one.
The rooms are spacious, have comfortable beds on which guests enjoy their sleep throughout their stay and have large verandas with chairs where guests relax after their day activities. The rooms were recently refurbished with and African style bathrooms and toilets are always kept clean for use at anytime and there is warm and cold running water. The lodge is powered by solar energy which makes is friendly to the environmental.
The restaurant serves local and international cuisines and the bar has soft drinks, alcoholic drinks and others. The bar and restaurant are situated in a perfect place to view Bwindi forest and numerous hills around the area.

Getting there
It takes about 10 hours from Kampala by road. A flight from Entebbe international airport lasts for approximately 2 hours and a short connection drive to the lodge covers about 30 kilometers.
