Mashatu Game Reserve
Mashatu Game Reserve – Charming yourself with vast open fields, wildlife’s habitats, magnificent sky and the peacefulness of the forest, and echoes of birds singing and natural noises.
Situated in the Botswana Northern Tuli Game Park, which lies between the Tuli Safari Area, Zimbabwe National Park and South Africa Mapungubwe National Park. In both the South African and the Zimbabwean National Parks Mashatu shares unbroken boundaries in South and North. This vast area is part of the protected cross-border nature area that preserves the tremendous biodiversity of flora and fauna of the country.
The largest concentration of animals in the park are the elephants occupying the largest area of land in the park, besides the elephants, you will also encounter other animal species such as the Baobab tree, the Eland, the Ostrich, the Kori bustard, and the majestic Limpopo River.
The nature experience at Mashatu is tailored and excited to give you the environment with devoted professional Tswana guards and trackers. Late afternoons and again early mornings, the four-wheel drive safari vehicles set off to search for the various species inhabiting the reservation. The park is a host to over 350 species of birds the park stands out has one of the perfect sites for bird watching activities, while on the plains, you will have an opportunity to spot different animals like the cheetah zebra, giraffe, eland, impala, herds of elephants and many more other animals. There is also a variety of flora and fauna that thrives all year round.
