Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge
Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla lodge is situated about 2161m above sea level where life seems different with total tranquility. The lodge sits on Nteko ridge near Bwindi impenetrable forest national park offering spectacular views of the forest canopy, Kashasha River Valley and the Virunga volcanoes.
Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla lodge started as a camp before upgrading to a lodge. Since 2007 when it grew to a lodge, it provides quality accommodation facilities to their guests through well trained and hospitable staffs and is now one of the best accommodations in the region. Right from the front desk staffs, waiters and waitresses, chefs, security staffs and others are all friendly and responsible for good service at the lodge.
The lodge consists of 8 garden cottages, 3 villas with 2 superior cottages and 1 family villa. The cottages were built with local materials that blend with nature. Each of them has a sitting area, a private veranda and en-suite bathrooms.
The dining area is spacious ands comfortable for all sizes of groups, both small and big groups. The restaurant serves 4- course dinner and prepares special diets when requested by guests. It also has a bar and a fire place to keep you warm during the cold mornings and evenings. The lounge is located at the best place on the hill to view the Virunga Volcanoes.
After a tiresome journey or hike, guests can visit the spa to rejuvenate their bodies and stay healthy and strong throughout the safari.

Getting there
Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla lodge is located about 300m from Nkuringo Visitors’ centre in Bwindi impenetrable national park. It is a 15 minutes walk from the lodge to the visitors’ centre. It is located a few minutes from Rushaga sector and guests can stay here and go for gorilla trekking in Rushaga.
By road, it takes about 10 hours from Kampala or Entebbe and about 7 hours from Kigali. And by air, it takes about one hour and a half form Entebbe international airport to Kisoro airstrip and then is transferred to the lodge.
