Talking about the location, serenity, food, staffs and comfort of the rooms, everything at Silverback lodge is excellent. It is a luxury lodge located in Bwindi. It is situated high on an elevation that offers the breathtaking views of the forest, the hills and banana plantations around the area. The lodge is managed and operated by Marasa and is well known for quality services and facilities.

The lodge is located in Buhoma sector just about 5 minutes walk to the Uganda Wildlife Authority offices of the park.

The lodge consists of 12 spacious rooms, each with their own private facilities including bathrooms, flushing toilet and hot and cold running water. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and beautiful. They are equipped with satellite and TVs. They have large verandahs where you can relax after your activities. The rooms are well situated to offer stunning views outside and across the hill.

The restaurant is spacious but guests can also be served from outside under the blue sky and enjoy their meals while watching the surrounding beauty. They serve different kinds of local and international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Different brands of soft drinks and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are stocked at the bar.

The lodge has other facilities like sauna, steam bath, gym and others to keep your body fit while on your uganda gorilla tour. There is a gift shop with a variety of beautiful African items.

Getting there

By road, it’s a 10 hours drive from Kampala or Entebbe and by air, the flight takes 2 hours from Entebbe international airport to Kihihi airstrip and a 2 hours drive from Kihihi to the lodge.
