If you want a 1 day Gorilla trekking Uganda, it will be conducted at one of the most convenient sectors of park so that you are allowed to go on with your other endeavors. This will be possible if the visitor is staying in Kisoro and Kabale towns since these are the closest towns to the park. We book for your gorilla tracking permit in advance so that you are included the day you wish to do the activity.

The evening before tracking, ask the attendants at your lodge to prepare for you lunch and water early morning for the next day and since you will meet your driver at 5:00am that morning, you may as well them to wake you up at around 4 so that you may prepare on time. Make sure you have strong shoes or gumboots, a rain coat or thick jacket and wear long pants on the tracking day.

Wake up very early and take a cup of coffee. At 5:00am the driver guide picks you up and after a briefing and drives you to the park for the start of your 1 Day Gorilla trekking Uganda. You are briefed by the park management who also provide you with a walking stick and you’ll join a group so that the armed ranger guide starts leading you through the forest.

When you spot the gorillas you are allowed to move closer maintaining a distance of 7 meters, view them and take photos for an hour. You will thereafter start to move back down at least 200meters away from the gorillas to have lunch in the forest. If you spot these giants early, you will leave the forest with your lunch and eat it from the base. The driver guide will drive you to the headquarters of the park to pick your certificate of participation in gorilla tracking.

From the headquarters, the driver guide drives you back to your hotel or residence and the tour comes to an end.
