1 Day Lake Mburo tour – Lake Mburo 1 day safari

Lake Mburo national park is one of the smallest national parks in Uganda but with various attraction and activities to enjoy on the 1 day Lake Mburo Tour. It is located in the western part of the country about 240km from Kampala city. Among the water bodies in the park, Lake Mburo is the biggest hence its name (lake Mburo National Park). It harbors buffaloes, zebras, hippos, giraffes, elands, oribi, crocodiles and various bird species which you will spot on your Lake Mburo 1 day safari.

We shall shortly stop at the equator, do a game drive in the park, a boat cruise and then return to Kampala

Detailed programme of the day

You’ll need to wake up early, have breakfast and at around 6:00, you’ll meet with your driver for briefing and start the trip at a half past six (6:30am). Driving to the park takes about 4 -4.5 hours. The stop over will be at Kayabwe to take pictures and watch the geographical experiments at the equator. The next main towns will be Masaka, Lyantonde then to Nshara gate to permit you to the park. You will sight various animals like the waterbucks, zebras, giraffes, and impalas. The game drive will entertain you till you are taken to the restaurant where you’ll relax and have lunch so that at 3:00pm the boat ride will enable you to spot more animals like hippos, crocodile and several birds like the pied kingfishers among others.

Start on the return journey as you watch more animals while checking out of the park. You will be driven back to your residence or airport and wind up the trip.
