2 Days Kibale Chimpanzee Trekking – 2 Day Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda

2 days chimp tracking in Kibale forest will enable you to search for your own relatives the chimpanzees alongside seeing other various primates like the monkeys and baboons, birds and other mammals. There are very high chances of easily tracking the chimpanzees in this forest in Kibale National park as since various groups have been habituated and are available for tracking.

Detailed programme for 2 days chimp trekking in Kibale national park

Day 1: Travelling from Kampala to Kibale

The journey starts at 7:00hrs through the main towns of Mityana, Mubende, Kyenjojo and then green tea plantations leading to Fort Portal where you’ll stop to have lunch. You’ll then have an extra drive covering about 45kms to Kibale national park where you’ll check in and relax as you wait for evening that comes with a delicious dinner in the wild, before having a long rest overnight.

Day 2: Chimp tracking and travelling back to Kampala

The morning starts with an early breakfast then get ready for tracking for the chimpanzees with a guide after receiving the briefing. Tracking early morning may enable you to find the primates in a short time and have an hour to study and view them. You may also come across l’hoest monkeys,red tailed monkey,black and white colobus monkey, mangabeys and other monkey types and various birds.

Chimpanzee tracking will end at around mid-day and so that you’ll check out of the lodge and drive to Fort Portal town for lunch and drive back to Kampala via Mubende.
