3 Days Mountain Mgahinga Hike – Hiking Mount Mgahinga
Mountain Mgahinga comprises of three volcanoes in the southwestern Uganda about 540km from Kampala city. Hiking on these ranges takes place in Mgahinga national park and it can be done in one day.
Carry the following for the activity; rain jacket, hiking boots/ strong shoes, head caps and insect repellant

Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Kisoro
You’ll meet with the driver guide after having your breakfast in the morning and be briefed about the journey. You’ll leave Kampala for Kisoro with the first stopover at the Equator for photos and the geographical experiment of the north and South Pole. The journey continues through Masaka town to Mbarara town where you’ll stop again for lunch and thereafter proceed through Kabale to Kisoro. When we arrive at the park, you’ll check in at the lodge, have dinner and rest.

Day 2: Hiking Mount Mgahinga
Wake up early for breakfast and pack lunch plus atheist 2litres of water and you’ll be picked by the driver guide to the headquarters for briefing where you’ll be given a walking stick and a ranger guide to lead the hike. Hiking to the peak of Mount Mgahinga gives a great view of the countries that share the mountain; Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. You’ll also be able to view Lake Edward in Queen Elizabeth national park, some mountain tops of the Rwenzori Mountains and Burundi. You’ll move back to the base and arrive in the evening, check in at the lodge, have dinner and rest.
Day 3: Travelling back to Kampala
After your breakfast, we shall start the return journey to Kampala. After Kabale town , we shall first visit Lake Bunyonyi which is about 8km away,thereafter proceed making a stopover at Mbarara town for lunch and later on continue to Kampala.
