Trekkers Tavern cottages is a budget accommodation facility in Bwindi Impenetrable national park. it is located in Ruhija sector on top of a hill that offers spectacular views of the forest. One of the loveliest things about the lodge is the numerous birds that survey around the cottages.
Trekkers Tavern consists of 5 self contained cottages with en suite bathrooms. They have accommodation rooms for single occupancy, double occupancy and executive bedrooms. They are spacious with kind size and smaller comfortable beds and decorated with pictures of animals of Bwindi forest like mountain gorillas, birds. Each cottage accommodates 4 people, they have wide verandahs with African traditional style chairs where guests can relax after the tiresome hike.
The location of the lodge offers beautiful views of the forest, Virunga volcanoes and Lake Edward.
Their restaurant is one of those with the best chefs who serve local and international cuisines. The bar stocks a variety of soft drinks, alcoholic drinks and other non-alcoholic drinks. The bar and restaurant is well furnished with local materials which give them an epic look. The treat offered by the staffs of the lodge will make your safari perfect.

How to get to Trekkers Tavern cottages
From Kampala by road, it takes about 10 hours to reach the lodge and by air, it takes about one and a half hours to arrive at Kihihi airstrip in Kanungu and then extra one and a half hours to drive to the lodge. the lodge is located a few minutes from Ikumba trading centre.
