 Quiet city with few amenities but a nice environment

If for newcomers, Namibia is Africa, Windhoek is its capital in more than just language. It is the kind of location where travelers will distinguish themselves, with the ones who love it from the toughness of life on the African path against those who consider it too “western” to their African taste. Windhoek is also a modern and well-kept city in which office workers spend lunch lounging around Zoo Park; tourists wander through Post St Mall, admiring African curiosity, and taxis whizzing at prospective customers. They are right. Skyline is punctuated by unbaroque spires of the cathedral and by some seemingly lost castles in the German area.
